Chapter 10 of the BBG focuses on how to and when to use multiple genres in one project. It aims to teach us how to use different genres to strengthen each piece of our project, instead of forcing the whole project to be confined within one genre. I chose this chapter mainly because genres were what really confused me when we started this class and even though the previous chapters cleared up most of that confusion, I still wanted to broaden my understanding of genres. I really liked how the chapter explains that by using multiple genres one will be able to pick the strongest of each genre to create a project that appeals to everyone. The book states that when creating this multigenre project we would use the genres to create a relationship between them so they rely on each other to fill in the missing pieces. This chapter will be extremely helpful later on in this semester since we have to create our own multigenre project for project 3. I will definitely be sure to use it as a guide since it provides step-by-step instructions and examples to show us how to effectively intertwine the genres to create a whole functioning project.
